Chain Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and safety.

  1. Sharpening: Use round file (5/32 inch) every few hours of use; maintain 30-degree angle.

  3. Lubrication: Check oil level frequently; refill with bar and chain oil.
  4. Inspection: Look for worn drive links, damaged cutters, and bar groove wear.
  5. Replacement: Replace chain when cutters are worn beyond repair or stretched.

WARNING! Always unplug chainsaw before performing maintenance. Wear gloves.
