Safety Information

Read and understand all instructions before use. Always wear appropriate PPE.

  1. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, steel-toed boots, and chainsaw chaps or pants.
  2. Work Area Safety: Keep bystanders and pets at least 15 feet away. Ensure secure footing.
  3. Kickback Zone: Avoid contact with the upper quadrant of the bar tip.
  4. Chain Brake Test: Test chain brake before each use by engaging it with the saw off.
  5. Battery Safety: Use only manufacturer-approved 60V batteries and charger.

WARNING! Failure to follow safety instructions can result in serious injury or death. Chainsaw kickback can occur suddenly and without warning.

Assembly & Initial Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assemble on a clean, flat surface.

  1. Attach the Bar and Chain: Loosen bar nuts. Place chain over sprocket, aligning drive links with bar groove. Position bar onto studs. Ensure chain direction is correct (cutting teeth face forward on top of bar). Tighten nuts finger-tight.
  2. Tension the Chain: Use tool-less tensioner wheel to adjust until chain snaps back when pulled from bar. Tighten bar nuts securely.
  3. Fill Oil Tank: Use recommended bar and chain oil. Fill to level indicated in window.
  4. Install Battery: Insert fully charged 60V battery until it clicks. Check that it is locked in place.

CAUTION! Ensure chain brake is disengaged (pulled back toward front handle) before installing battery or starting.

Controls and Indicators

Main Controls: On/Off Switch, Safety Trigger Lockout, Variable Speed Trigger, Chain Brake Lever (Front Handguard).

Indicators: Battery Charge Indicator (LED lights on battery).

Operation: Press and hold safety lockout, then squeeze trigger to start chain. Release trigger to stop chain. Engage chain brake by pushing front handguard forward.

Maintenance Checks: Chain tension, bar oil level, battery charge, chain sharpness, cleanliness of air vents.

Operation

  1. Starting: Ensure chain brake is disengaged. Install charged battery. Hold saw firmly on ground, press safety lockout, and squeeze trigger.
  2. Cutting: Use full throttle when entering cut. Let chain do the work; do not force. Be aware of pinch points, especially when cutting logs under tension.
  3. Kickback Prevention: Maintain secure grip. Do not cut with bar tip. Use low-kickback chain.
  4. Stopping: Release trigger. Engage chain brake for storage or transport.
  5. Battery Monitoring: Watch battery indicator. Replace with charged battery when power diminishes.

Tip: Plan your cut and escape path before starting. Never operate above shoulder height.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Perform maintenance with battery removed.

  1. Daily/Pre-Use: Check chain tension, sharpness, and oil level. Clean air vents. Inspect for loose parts.
  2. Chain Sharpening: Use correct round file and guide. Maintain correct filing angle (typically 30°). File all cutters evenly.
  3. Cleaning: Wipe exterior with dry cloth. Use brush to clean bar groove and oil ports. Never use water or solvents.
  4. Bar Maintenance: Flip bar periodically for even wear. Dress bar rails with flat file if burred.
  5. Battery Care: Store in cool, dry place. Do not expose to extreme temperatures.

CAUTION! Always wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the chain.
