Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Always wear protective equipment.

  1. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, chainsaw chaps, and sturdy boots.
  2. Work Area Safety: Keep bystanders and pets at least 15 meters away. Ensure secure footing.
  3. Fuel Safety: Refuel outdoors, away from ignition sources. Use fresh fuel mix (see Specifications).
  4. Operation: Hold chainsaw firmly with both hands. Do not operate above shoulder height.

WARNING! Risk of serious injury or death from kickback, cutting, or fire. Never operate when tired or under influence.

Assembly & Preparation

Unpack and inspect contents. Assemble guide bar and chain.

  1. Attach Guide Bar & Chain: Place bar onto sprocket, fit chain around bar with cutting teeth facing forward, adjust tension.
  2. Fill Oil Tank: Use quality chainsaw bar oil. Check for leaks.
  3. Prepare Fuel Mix: Use unleaded gasoline (min. 90 octane) mixed with 2-stroke oil at 50:1 ratio (20ml oil per 1 liter fuel).
  4. Fill Fuel Tank: Pour fuel mix into tank. Secure cap tightly.

CAUTION! Ensure chain brake is engaged during assembly. Chain tension correct when snug but can be pulled by hand.

Controls and Components

Main components: Front handle with chain brake, rear handle with throttle trigger, throttle lockout, choke lever, decompression valve, stop switch.

Controls: STOP switch (O=Run, I=Stop), CHOKE lever (cold start), DECOMPRESSION valve (press to reduce starting effort), THROTTLE LOCKOUT (must be pressed to engage throttle), CHAIN BRAKE lever (front hand guard).

Maintenance points: Air filter cover, spark plug, chain tensioning screw, oil filler cap, fuel filler cap.

Starting & Operation

Starting procedure (cold engine):

  1. Place on flat, clear ground. Engage chain brake.
  2. Set STOP switch to O (Run).
  3. Pull CHOKE lever to full choke position.
  4. Press decompression valve (if equipped).
  5. Hold rear handle with right foot, pull starter cord sharply until engine fires.
  6. Push CHOKE lever to half-choke, pull starter until engine runs.
  7. Disengage chain brake before cutting.

Tip: For warm start, use half-choke or no choke. Let engine warm up 30 seconds before cutting.

Chain Maintenance

Regular chain care ensures optimal performance and safety.

  1. Chain Tension: Check before each use. Adjust via side tension screw until chain snaps back when pulled from bar.
  2. Sharpening: Use round file matching chain pitch (usually 4.0mm). File at 30° angle. File all cutters evenly.
  3. Lubrication: Ensure oil tank filled. Check oil flow by running saw near light surface; oil line should appear.
  4. Bar Maintenance: Clean bar groove regularly. Flip bar monthly for even wear.

WARNING! Always stop engine and wear gloves when handling chain. Chain is extremely sharp.
