Safety Information

Read all instructions before operation. Wear appropriate PPE.

  2. Ensure chain brake is functional before each use.

  4. Use proper stance: feet shoulder-width apart, firm grip with both hands.
  5. Never operate above shoulder height or on a ladder.

WARNING! Risk of kickback. Keep saw body close to your body; do not let bar nose contact wood. Always cut at full throttle.

Assembly & First-Time Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Assemble guide bar and chain.

  1. Attach guide bar: Place bar over studs, align chain around sprocket and bar groove.
  2. Tension chain: Adjust tensioning screw until chain snaps back when pulled from bar.
  3. Fill fuel: Mix 40:1 gasoline to 2-stroke oil (87 octane minimum).
  4. Fill bar & chain oil: Use SAE 30 or equivalent bar oil.
  5. Prime carburetor: Press primer bulb 5-7 times until fuel is visible.

CAUTION! Fuel is flammable. Refuel outdoors, away from ignition sources. Allow engine to cool before refueling.

Main Controls: Throttle trigger, throttle lock, choke, ON/OFF switch, primer bulb.

Operation: Set ON/OFF to ON, engage choke for cold start, press throttle lock and squeeze trigger. Adjust chain tension via side screw. Check oil level via sight window.

Fuel & Lubrication

Fuel: 40:1 mix ratio (3.2 oz oil per 1 gallon gasoline). Use high-quality 2-stroke oil.

  1. Mix fuel in approved container; shake well.
  2. Fill fuel tank to 80% capacity to allow for expansion.
  3. Bar & Chain Oil: Use SAE 30 or equivalent; fill oil tank before each use.
  4. Check oil flow: Run saw over light-colored surface; look for oil splatter.

Tip: Never use automotive motor oil or dirty fuel. Store mixed fuel for no more than 30 days.

Starting & Operation

Starting Procedure (Cold Engine):

  1. Place saw on flat, clear surface.
  2. Set ON/OFF switch to ON.
  3. Pull choke knob fully out.
  4. Press primer bulb 5-7 times.
  5. Press throttle lock and squeeze trigger once.
  6. Pull starter rope briskly until engine fires (1-3 pulls).
  7. Push choke knob in halfway.
  8. Pull starter rope until engine starts.
  9. Allow 30-second warm-up at idle.

WARNING! Keep hands away from chain. Always engage chain brake when moving between cuts.

Chain Maintenance

Sharpening: Use 5/32-inch round file and file guide. Maintain 30° top plate angle.

  1. Secure bar; file from inside out.
  2. File each cutter evenly; check depth gauges.
  3. Tension: Chain should snap back when pulled from bar; adjust when cool.
  4. Rotation: Flip bar monthly for even wear.

CAUTION! Wear gloves when handling chain. Replace chain when cutters are worn below 0.25 inches.

Storage & Cleaning

Long-term Storage:

  1. Drain fuel tank and run carburetor dry.
  2. Remove chain; clean and soak in oil.
  3. Clean air filter with soapy water; dry thoroughly.
  4. Wipe exterior with damp cloth; store in dry place.

CAUTION! Never store with fuel in tank. Keep away from children and heat sources.
