Specifications

Controls and Components

Main components: Front handle with chain brake, rear handle with throttle trigger, choke control, stop switch, and primer bulb.

Controls: Throttle trigger (with safety lock), choke lever (for cold starts), stop switch (ON/OFF), primer bulb (for easier starting), chain brake lever (front handle), and chain tensioning screw.

Operation: Pull chain brake back toward front handle to engage brake. Push forward to disengage. Use choke for cold starts. Always hold rear handle with right hand, front handle with left hand.

Starting & Operation

Starting procedure for cold and warm engines.

  1. Place chainsaw on flat, clear ground. Engage chain brake.
  2. Cold Start: Set choke lever to full choke. Press primer bulb 5-6 times.
  3. Pull starter rope until engine fires (usually 3-5 pulls). Move choke to half position.
  4. Pull starter rope again until engine starts. Let run for 10 seconds, then push choke to run position.
  5. Warm Start: Use half-choke or run position only.
  6. To Cut: Disengage chain brake, squeeze throttle trigger. Allow chain to reach full speed before contacting wood.

Tip: Never drop-start or start above waist height. Always use two hands.

Chain & Bar Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and safety.

  1. Chain Sharpening: Use round file and guide. Maintain 30° cutting angle. File all cutters evenly.
  2. Chain Tension: Check frequently. Proper tension: chain should snap back when pulled from bar.
  3. Bar Maintenance: Clean bar groove regularly. Flip bar monthly for even wear.
  4. Oiling System: Check oil flow by running saw over light surface; look for oil splatter.

WARNING! Always wear gloves when handling chain. Disconnect spark plug before maintenance.

Engine Maintenance

Air filter: Clean every 10 operating hours. Replace if damaged. Spark plug: Clean and regap (0.025 inch) every 20 hours. Fuel filter: Replace annually. Carburetor: Adjust only if necessary (refer to service manual).

Storage Guidelines

For long-term storage (over 30 days): Drain fuel tank and run engine until it stops. Remove spark plug, add 1 teaspoon of oil through spark plug hole, pull starter 2-3 times, reinstall plug. Clean entire saw. Store in dry, cool place.

CAUTION! Never store with fuel in tank. Old fuel can damage engine components.
