Safety Information

Read all instructions before use. Wear appropriate safety gear.

  1. Personal Protective Equipment: Always wear safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and chainsaw chaps or pants.
  2. Work Area Safety: Clear area of bystanders, pets, and obstacles. Ensure secure footing.
  3. Electrical Safety: Use grounded outlet; keep cord away from cutting area and sharp objects.
  4. Kickback Awareness: Hold saw firmly with both hands; do not cut with tip of bar.
  5. Chain Brake Test: Test chain brake before each use by engaging with front hand guard.

WARNING! Chainsaws are dangerous tools. Failure to follow safety instructions can result in serious injury or death. Keep hands away from moving chain.

Assembly & Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Assemble on a clean, flat surface.

  1. Attach Guide Bar: Place bar onto mounting studs, aligning adjustment pin with hole in bar.
  2. Install Chain: Place chain onto bar sprocket, ensuring cutting teeth face forward on top of bar.
  3. Secure Bar Nut: Hand-tighten bar nut, then use tool-less tensioner to adjust chain tension.
  4. Fill Oil Reservoir: Use only chainsaw bar and chain oil. Fill to level indicated in window.
  5. Connect Power: Plug into grounded 120V outlet. Ensure cord is undamaged.

CAUTION! Ensure chain is properly installed and tensioned before operation. Loose chain can derail; overtightened chain can damage saw.

Specifications

Controls and Components

Main Controls: On/Off Trigger Switch, Lock-Off Button, Chain Brake Lever (front hand guard).

Components: Motor Housing, Guide Bar, Chain, Chain Sprocket, Bar Cover, Oil Filler Cap, Tension Adjustment Wheel, Rear Handle, Cord Strain Relief.

Operation: Press lock-off button, then squeeze trigger to start. Release trigger to stop. Engage chain brake by pushing front hand guard forward. Tension adjustment: Turn wheel clockwise to tighten, counterclockwise to loosen chain. Oil fill: Remove cap, fill with bar oil, replace cap securely.

Operation

Supports cutting of logs, branches, and firewood.

  1. Pre-Start Check: Verify chain tension, oil level, chain brake function, and clear work area.
  2. Starting: Ensure chain brake is engaged. Plug in saw. Press lock-off button, then squeeze trigger.
  3. Cutting: Apply light pressure; let chain do the work. Do not force saw. Use proper cutting techniques.
  4. Kickback Prevention: Hold saw firmly; be aware of bar tip contact; use reduced-kickback chain.
  5. Stopping: Release trigger. Engage chain brake when not actively cutting.
  6. Unplugging: Always unplug saw when not in use, during maintenance, or when changing location.

WARNING! Never operate chainsaw with one hand. Always maintain secure grip with both hands. Do not operate above shoulder height.

Chain Maintenance

Chain sharpening and tensioning are critical for performance and safety.

  1. Chain Tension: Check frequently during use. Chain should be snug against bar but pull freely by hand.
  2. Sharpening: Use round file and guide. Maintain original filing angle (typically 30°). File each cutter evenly.
  3. Depth Gauges: File depth gauges with flat file to maintain proper height (0.025 inch below cutter).
  4. Chain Replacement: Replace chain when cutters are worn, damaged, or cannot be sharpened effectively.
  5. Bar Maintenance: Clean bar groove regularly. Flip bar periodically for even wear.

Tip: A sharp chain cuts faster, produces less strain on motor, and is safer than a dull chain.

Lubrication System

Automatic oiler delivers oil to bar and chain. Manual override available.

Automatic Oiling: System operates when motor runs. Adjust flow rate if equipped. Check oil level window frequently; refill as needed. Use only recommended bar and chain oil for proper lubrication and reduced wear.

CAUTION! Never operate chainsaw without bar oil. Running dry will damage bar, chain, and saw.

Storage & Care

Unplug and clean after each use. Store in dry, secure location.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe exterior with dry cloth. Remove sawdust from air vents, bar, and chain area.
  2. Chain Storage: Remove chain, clean, and coat with oil before long-term storage.
  3. Bar Storage: Clean bar groove and oil surface to prevent rust.
  4. General: Store in case or cover to protect from dust and moisture.

CAUTION! Do not use water or solvents for cleaning. Keep away from extreme temperatures.
