Safety Information

Read and understand all instructions before operation. Always wear protective equipment.

  1. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear safety helmet, hearing protection, protective glasses, gloves, chainsaw protective trousers, and boots with steel toe caps.
  2. Work Area Safety: Keep bystanders and pets at least 15 meters away. Ensure secure footing. Do not operate in poor weather or visibility.
  3. Kickback Zone: Be aware of the upper quadrant of the guide bar tip. Never cut with this part of the bar.
  4. Chain Brake: Test the chain brake function before each use.

WARNING! A chainsaw is a dangerous tool if used incorrectly. Failure to follow safety instructions can result in serious injury or death.

Assembly & First Use

Unpack and inspect contents. Assemble guide bar and chain. Fill with fuel and oil.

  1. Attach Guide Bar & Chain: Place bar on mounting studs. Fit chain around sprocket and bar, ensuring cutting teeth face forward on top. Adjust tension.
  2. Fuel Mix: Use high-quality 2-stroke engine oil mixed with unleaded gasoline (min 89 octane). Mix ratio: 50:1 (2% oil). Use Husqvarna XP+ or equivalent oil.
  3. Fill Tanks: Fill fuel tank with correct mix. Fill chain oil tank with special chain oil (SAE 30).
  4. Starting Procedure: Engage chain brake. Set master control lever to choke. Pull starter handle until engine fires. Move lever to fast idle. Pull again to start.

CAUTION! Fuel is highly flammable. Refuel outdoors with engine off and cooled down.

Specifications

Controls and Components

Front Handle: Contains throttle trigger and throttle trigger lockout. Rear Handle: Contains master control lever (stop/choke/throttle). Right Side: Chain brake lever, inertia brake mechanism.

Master Control Lever Positions: - STOP (0): Engine off. - CHOKE (Full up): For cold start. - FAST IDLE (Middle): For warm start or after firing. - RUN (Down): Normal operation.

Other Controls: Chain brake handle (front guard), decompression valve (for easier starting), primer bulb (on some models), combination screw (for idle and high-speed adjustment).

Operation Guide

Starting, cutting techniques, and stopping procedure.

  1. Starting (Cold): Engage chain brake. Pull out choke knob or set lever to choke. Press decompression valve. Pull starter cord sharply until engine fires. Move control to fast idle. Pull cord again to start.
  2. Basic Cutting: Hold saw firmly with both hands. Let the chain do the work; do not force it. Use full throttle just before and during the cut.
  3. Felling Trees: Not recommended for inexperienced users. Requires proper notch and back cut techniques.
  4. Stopping: Release throttle. Move master control lever to STOP (0). Engage chain brake.

Tip: Always plan your cut and escape path before starting the engine.

Maintenance Schedule

Regular maintenance ensures performance and longevity.

IntervalTask
Before each useCheck chain tension, brake function, fuel/oil levels, loose parts.
Every 10 hoursClean air filter, check spark plug, clean cooling fins.
Every 50 hoursReplace spark plug, clean fuel filter, check clutch and sprocket.
Every 100 hoursReplace fuel filter, clean carburetor (if needed), check all screws/nuts.
AnnuallyProfessional inspection recommended.

Chain Sharpening & Tensioning

A sharp, correctly tensioned chain is essential for safety and performance.

  1. Tensioning: Loosen bar nuts. Use tensioning screw to raise bar tip until chain fits snugly against bar (can be pulled by hand). Tighten bar nuts. Re-check tension when chain is cold.
  2. Sharpening: Use a round file matching chain pitch (5/32" for 3/8" LP). File at 30° angle. File all cutters to same length. File depth gauges with a flat file and gauge.

WARNING! Always wear gloves when handling chain. A loose chain can derail; an overtightened chain can break.

Fuel & Lubrication

Use fresh, high-quality fuel and recommended oils.

Storage

Prepare chainsaw for storage if not used for more than 30 days.

  1. Clean the entire saw.
  2. Empty the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear carburetor.
  3. Remove chain, clean it, and store in oil.
  4. Remove spark plug, add a teaspoon of engine oil into cylinder, pull starter cord slowly, reinstall plug.
  5. Store in a dry, cool, and locked place, out of reach of children.

CAUTION! Storing with fuel in the tank can cause carburetor damage and starting problems.

Troubleshooting
