Assembly Instructions

Unpack and inspect all components. Ensure all parts are present before assembly.

  1. Attach guide bar: Remove side cover, align bar with mounting studs, ensure chain groove aligns with oil outlet.
  2. Install cutting chain: Place chain over guide bar, ensuring cutting teeth face forward on top.
  3. Secure side cover: Replace side cover and tighten nuts securely.
  4. Adjust chain tension: Use tensioning screw to achieve proper chain tension (should snap back when pulled).
  5. Fill tanks: Add recommended fuel mixture to fuel tank and bar/chain oil to oil tank.

WARNING! Always wear protective gloves when handling chain. Ensure chainsaw is on stable surface during assembly.

First-Time Operation

Before starting, ensure proper personal protective equipment is worn.

  1. Check chain tension: Ensure chain is properly tensioned before each use.
  2. Fuel mixture: Use correct gasoline/oil ratio as specified in manual.
  3. Starting procedure: Set chain brake, move choke to cold start position, pull starter cord until engine fires, then move choke to run position and pull again.
  4. Warm-up: Allow engine to warm up for 30-60 seconds before cutting.
  5. Test chain brake: Verify chain brake engages properly before cutting.

CAUTION! Never start chainsaw without proper chain tension. Always engage chain brake when starting.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Main controls located on top and rear handle. Front Panel: Throttle trigger, throttle lockout, choke control, primer bulb.

Handle Area: Chain brake lever, front hand guard, rear handle with anti-vibration mounts.

Engine Controls: Choke positions (cold start, run), throttle trigger for speed control, throttle lockout for safety. Chain Controls: Chain brake lever (manual/automatic), chain tensioning screw. Fuel System: Fuel tank cap, oil tank cap, fuel mixture ratio indicator.

Chain Installation & Tensioning

Proper chain installation and tension are critical for safe operation.

  1. Turn off engine and engage chain brake before working on chain.
  2. Loosen side cover nuts to access chain tensioning mechanism.
  3. Adjust tensioning screw until chain fits snugly against guide bar.
  4. Chain should snap back when pulled away from bar (approximately 2-3mm play).
  5. Retighten side cover nuts while maintaining tension.
  6. Rotate chain manually to check for smooth movement.

Tip: Check chain tension frequently during first hour of use as new chains stretch.

Cutting Techniques

Proper cutting techniques ensure safety and efficiency.

  1. Felling: Plan escape path, make notch cut, then back cut leaving hinge wood.
  2. Limbing: Work from trunk outward, keep saw between you and branch.
  3. Bucking: Support log properly, cut from top down for supported logs.
  4. Kickback prevention: Keep nose of guide bar out of cut, maintain firm grip.
  5. Pinch prevention: Recognize compression and tension wood to avoid binding.
  6. Proper stance: Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, weight balanced.
  7. Cutting angle: Use full throttle when cutting, let chain do the work.

WARNING! Never cut above shoulder height. Always be aware of kickback zone.

Safety Features

Chain Brake: Stops chain rotation within milliseconds of kickback detection. Front Hand Guard: Protects hand from debris and activates chain brake. Throttle Lockout: Prevents accidental throttle engagement. Anti-Vibration System: Reduces fatigue and improves control. Right-Hand Guard: Protects right hand from chain contact.

Care & Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Daily: Clean air filter, check chain tension, inspect chain sharpness.
  2. Weekly: Clean cooling fins, check spark plug, clean guide bar groove.
  3. Monthly: Clean fuel filter, check all fasteners for tightness.
  4. Seasonal: Replace spark plug, clean carburetor, inspect anti-vibration mounts.
  5. Storage: Empty fuel tank, run engine dry, clean entire unit, store in dry place.

CAUTION! Always disconnect spark plug before performing maintenance. Use only recommended lubricants and fuels.
