Assembly & Preparation

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assemble on a clean, flat surface.

  1. Attach guide bar and chain: Loosen bar nuts, position bar over studs, fit chain over sprocket and bar, tension properly.
  2. Fill fuel tank: Use fresh gasoline mixed with 2-cycle oil at 40:1 ratio (unless specified otherwise).
  3. Fill oil tank: Use bar and chain oil only.
  4. Check chain tension: Chain should be snug but pull freely around bar.

WARNING! Always wear cut-resistant gloves during assembly. Ensure chain is installed with cutting teeth facing forward.

Safety Information

Read and understand all safety instructions before operation.

  1. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, steel-toe boots, and chainsaw chaps.
  2. Clear work area: Remove debris, ensure secure footing, and keep bystanders away.
  3. Pre-operation check: Verify chain tension, sharpness, and that all fasteners are tight.
  4. Carrying: Engage chain brake and carry with bar pointing rearward when moving.

CAUTION! Kickback can occur suddenly. Always hold saw firmly with both hands, and do not cut with the tip of the bar.

Specifications

Controls and Components

Main controls: Throttle trigger, throttle lockout, choke lever, primer bulb, stop switch, chain brake lever, and fuel/oil caps.

Front/Right Side: Guide bar, chain, chain brake lever, bar nuts. Left Side: Throttle trigger with lockout, choke lever, primer bulb, stop switch. Top/Rear: Fuel cap, oil cap, starter grip, rear handle with anti-vibration mounts.

Operation: Engage throttle lockout before pulling trigger. Use choke for cold starts. Activate chain brake by pushing lever forward.

Starting & Operation

Starting procedure (cold engine):

  1. Place on flat, clear ground. Engage chain brake.
  2. Press primer bulb 5-6 times.
  3. Move choke lever to FULL CHOKE position.
  4. Pull starter rope briskly until engine "pops".
  5. Move choke to HALF CHOKE, pull until engine starts.
  6. Allow to warm up at idle for 30 seconds before cutting.

Cutting Tips: Use full throttle when cutting. Do not force saw; let chain do the work. Plan escape path from falling limbs.

Chain & Bar Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures performance and safety.

  1. Chain sharpening: Use round file and guide. Maintain 30° cutting angle. File all cutters evenly.
  2. Chain tension: Adjust when chain sags from bar. Loosen bar nuts, adjust tensioning screw, retighten nuts.
  3. Bar maintenance: Clean bar groove, flip bar periodically for even wear.
  4. Sprocket inspection: Replace if worn or damaged.

WARNING! Always disconnect spark plug before performing maintenance. Wear gloves when handling chain.

Fuel & Oil

Use fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane minimum) mixed with high-quality 2-cycle engine oil at 40:1 ratio. Use only bar and chain oil in oil tank.

Mixing: Add oil to gas can first, then gasoline. Shake well before refueling.

CAUTION! Never use automotive motor oil, diesel fuel, or old gasoline. Store fuel mix in approved container for up to 30 days.

Storage

For long-term storage (over 30 days):

  1. Drain fuel tank and run engine until it stops.
  2. Remove chain, clean, and soak in oil.
  3. Clean entire saw, especially cooling fins and air filter.
  4. Store in dry, cool place, away from ignition sources.

Tip: Use fuel stabilizer if you cannot drain the tank completely.
