Controls and Components

Main controls located on rear handle and body.

Rear Handle: Throttle trigger, throttle lockout, choke lever, primer bulb, stop switch.

Front Handle: Chain brake lever (manual), hand guard.

Body: Fuel cap, oil cap, spark plug cover, air filter cover, decompression valve (if equipped).

Fuel & Oil Mixing

Use fresh unleaded gasoline (max 30 days old) and 2-stroke engine oil meeting JASO FD or ISO-L-EGD standards.

  1. Mix in separate approved container: 1 gallon gasoline + 2.6 oz oil for 50:1 ratio.
  2. Shake container thoroughly before filling.
  3. Fill fuel tank to 80% capacity to allow for expansion.
  4. Use only bar and chain oil in oil reservoir.

Tip: Never use automotive motor oil or old gasoline. Store fuel mix in labeled, sealed container.

Starting & Operating

Supports standard and cold starting procedures.

  1. Pre-Start: Place on flat ground, clear of debris. Engage chain brake.
  2. Cold Start: Set choke to FULL, press primer bulb 5-6 times, pull starter cord until engine 'pops', set choke to HALF, pull to start.
  3. Warm Start: Choke OFF, pull starter cord.
  4. Cutting: Disengage chain brake, squeeze throttle trigger. Let chain reach full speed before contacting wood.
  5. Kickback Prevention: Hold saw firmly, avoid tip contact, cut with lower portion of bar.
  6. Shut Down: Release throttle, engage chain brake, press stop switch.

WARNING! Always start on ground, never drop-start. Keep hands away from chain during and after operation.

Chain Maintenance

Chain Sharpening: Use round file (5/32" or 4.0mm) and file guide. Maintain 30° cutting angle. File each cutter equally.

Chain Tensioning: Adjust when chain sags from bar. Loosen bar nuts, turn tensioning screw until chain snaps back when pulled from bar, tighten nuts.

Bar Maintenance: Clean bar groove regularly, flip bar monthly for even wear.

Cleaning & Storage

After each use: Clean saw of sawdust and debris. Wipe bar and chain with oiled rag. Check air filter.

Long-term storage: Drain fuel tank and run engine dry. Remove chain, clean and soak in oil. Store in dry, cool place.

CAUTION! Never use water or high-pressure spray to clean. Store fuel mix separately.
