Specifications

Controls and Components

Front Handle: Contains trigger switch and lock-off button. Rear Handle: Main grip. Chain Brake/Hand Guard: Located forward of front handle; activates if pushed forward. Oil Cap: For filling bar & chain oil. Tensioning Knob: Located on side cover.

Operation: Press lock-off button, then squeeze trigger. Release trigger to stop chain. Engage chain brake by pushing hand guard forward.

Maintenance Checks: Chain tension, oil level, bar condition, air vents (clear of debris).

Operation Guide

For cutting logs, branches, and pruning.

  1. Pre-Start Check: Verify chain tension, oil level, and that area is clear.
  2. Starting: Plug into outlet. Hold saw firmly. Press lock-off, then squeeze trigger.
  3. Cutting: Let chain reach full speed before contacting wood. Use steady pressure; do not force. Cut at waist level or lower.
  4. Kickback Prevention: Do not cut with upper tip of bar. Be aware of wood tension and binding.
  5. Stopping: Release trigger. Engage chain brake. Unplug saw when not in use.

Tip: Plan your cut and escape path. Never cut above shoulder height.

Chain Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures performance and safety.

  1. Sharpening: Use round file and guide. File each cutter at original angle (typically 30°). File all cutters to equal length.
  2. Tensioning: Chain should be snug against bar but pull freely. Re-tension when chain sags (check every 10-15 minutes of use).
  3. Lubrication: Use only recommended bar & chain oil. Check oil level frequently. Automatic oiler can be verified by pointing bar at a light surface and running saw at speed; a thin line of oil should appear.
  4. Bar Care: Flip bar periodically for even wear. Clean bar groove and oil holes.

WARNING! Always disconnect power before sharpening or adjusting chain. Wear cut-resistant gloves.

Cleaning & Storage

Unplug and allow to cool. Clean exterior with dry cloth. Remove sawdust from air vents, bar, and chain cover. Empty oil tank for long-term storage. Store in a dry, locked place out of reach of children.

CAUTION! Do not use water or solvents to clean motor housing. Never store with fuel (not applicable) or oil in a confined space.
