Safety Instructions

Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assemble on a clean, flat surface.

1. Attach Bar & Chain: Place bar onto mounting studs, align chain with sprocket and bar groove, adjust tension.

3. Fill Oil Tank: Use Greenworks bar and chain oil. Fill to MAX line, replace cap securely.

Chain Maintenance

Proper chain care ensures optimal performance and safety.

1. Sharpening: Use round file matching chain pitch. File at recommended angle (usually 30°).
2. Tensioning: Chain stretches with use. Adjust tension frequently when new, then as needed.
3. Lubrication: Check oil level before each use. Adjust oiler for cutting conditions (more for hard/dry wood).
4. Cleaning: Remove sawdust from bar groove, sprocket, and oil ports after use.
5. Rotation: Flip bar periodically for even wear.
6. Inspection: Check for damaged, cracked, or worn drive links; replace chain if needed.

WARNING! Always disconnect battery before performing any maintenance. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling chain.

Battery & Charging

Use only Greenworks 60V/80V batteries and charger.

1. Charging: Insert battery into charger; LED indicates status (red=charging, green=full).
