4. Buckling (cutting logs): Support log off ground. Cut from top down, avoiding soil contact.
5. Stopping: Release trigger. Engage chain brake when moving between cuts.

Tip: Do not force saw; let chain do the work. Clear chips from bar groove periodically.

Chain Maintenance

Regular chain care ensures optimal performance and safety.

1. Sharpening: Use round file matching chain pitch. File each cutter at 30-degree angle. Maintain equal length on all cutters.
2. Tensioning: Check tension frequently, especially when new. Chain should snap back when pulled from bar.
3. Cleaning: Remove resin and debris from chain and bar groove with brush and recommended cleaner.
4. Replacement: Replace chain when cutters are worn beyond repair or damaged. Use only Oregon 91PX series chain.

Lubrication System
