Assembly Instructions

Unpack and inspect all components. Assemble on a clean, flat surface.

  1. Attach guide bar: Remove bar cover nuts, position bar on studs, replace nuts hand-tight.
  2. Install chain: Place chain over bar sprocket, ensure cutting teeth face forward direction.
  3. Adjust chain tension: Use side tensioner to achieve proper chain slack (check manual).
  4. Fill oil reservoir: Use recommended bar and chain oil, fill to maximum level.
  5. Fuel mixture: Prepare proper gas/oil mixture in separate container before fueling.

WARNING! Always wear protective gloves during assembly. Ensure chain is properly tensioned before operation.

First-Time Setup

Complete assembly, then prepare for first use.

  1. Fuel preparation: Mix fresh unleaded gasoline with 2-cycle oil at 50:1 ratio.
  2. Priming: Press primer bulb 5-10 times until fuel is visible in clear line.
  3. Choke setting: Set choke to FULL position for cold starts.
  4. Starting procedure: Place on ground, engage chain brake, pull starter cord firmly.
  5. Warm-up: Allow engine to run at idle for 2-3 minutes before cutting.

CAUTION! Never start chainsaw without proper bar and chain installation. Keep bystanders at safe distance.

Specifications

Controls and Safety Features

Main controls located on top and rear handle. Front Handle: Throttle trigger, Throttle lockout, Chain brake lever. Rear Handle: Start/Stop switch, Choke lever, Primer bulb.

Safety Features: Chain brake (inertia-activated), Right-hand guard, Throttle lockout, Spark arrestor, Anti-vibration system, Chain catcher.

Operation: Engage throttle lockout before pulling trigger. Chain brake activates automatically during kickback or manually via hand guard. Always use two hands during operation. Wear PPE: helmet, eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, chainsaw chaps, and steel-toe boots.

Fuel and Oil Requirements

Fuel: Fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane minimum) mixed with 2-cycle engine oil at 50:1 ratio. Oil: High-quality bar and chain oil (ISO viscosity grade 30 or higher).

  1. Mix fuel in approved container: Add oil to gasoline, shake thoroughly.
  2. Fill fuel tank: Use funnel to avoid spills, wipe any drips immediately.
  3. Check oil reservoir: Fill before each use, check during operation.
  4. Storage: Use fuel stabilizer for storage over 30 days.

Tip: Never use automotive motor oil or diesel fuel. Never mix fuels near open flame.

Operating Procedures

Supports felling, limbing, bucking, and pruning operations.

  1. Starting: Set on flat surface, engage chain brake, set choke, pull starter cord.
  2. Warm-up: Allow 2-3 minutes at idle before applying load.
  3. Cutting: Use full throttle when cutting, let chain do the work.
  4. Kickback prevention: Avoid upper quadrant of bar tip, maintain secure grip.
  5. Shutdown: Allow idle for 30 seconds, move stop switch to OFF position.
  6. Transport: Engage chain brake, allow to cool, use scabbard over bar.
  7. Refueling: Stop engine, allow to cool 5 minutes, clean area before opening tank.

WARNING! Never operate above shoulder height. Always plan escape path when felling trees.

Maintenance Schedule

Daily: Check chain tension, sharpness, and lubrication. Clean air filter, check for loose fasteners. Weekly: Clean cooling fins, check spark plug, inspect bar for wear. Monthly: Clean fuel filter, check fuel lines, inspect anti-vibration mounts. Seasonally: Replace spark plug, clean carburetor, inspect clutch and sprocket.

Chain Sharpening Guide

Use round file matching chain pitch (typically 5/32" or 3/16").

  1. Secure bar: Clamp bar in vise or use filing guide.
  2. File angle: Maintain 30-degree angle on cutting teeth.
  3. File depth: Maintain consistent depth on all cutters.
  4. Depth gauges: File rakers to proper height (0.025" below cutters).
  5. Check symmetry: Ensure left and right cutters are filed equally.

CAUTION! Always wear gloves when handling chain. File in one direction only, away from body.
