Safety Information

Read and understand all instructions before operating. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

  1. PPE Required: Safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, chainsaw chaps, and sturdy boots.
  2. Work Area Safety: Clear area of bystanders, especially children and pets. Ensure secure footing.
  3. Kickback Warning: Keep firm grip, do not cut with tip of bar. Use reduced-kickback chain and low-kickback bar.
  4. Fuel Safety: Refuel in well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources. Allow engine to cool.

WARNING! Improper use can cause serious injury or death. Always engage chain brake when not cutting.

Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assemble on a clean, flat surface.

  1. Attach Guide Bar & Chain: Place bar on mounting studs. Loop chain over sprocket and onto bar groove. Adjust tension.
  2. Install Handle: Secure front and rear handles with provided bolts.
  3. Fill Fluids: Mix gasoline with 2-stroke oil at 50:1 ratio. Fill fuel tank. Fill oil tank with bar and chain oil.
  4. Check Chain Tension: Chain should snap back when pulled from bar. Adjust using tool-less tensioner.

CAUTION! Ensure chain is installed with cutting teeth facing forward on top of bar.

Specifications

Controls and Components

Main Controls: Throttle trigger, throttle trigger lockout, stop switch, choke control, primer bulb, chain brake lever.

Components: Front handle with chain brake, rear handle with throttle, fuel tank cap, oil tank cap, air filter cover, spark plug, muffler, guide bar, chain, and sprocket cover.

Operation: Pull choke for cold start. Press primer bulb 5-6 times. Set stop switch to "I". Pull starter rope. Disengage choke as engine warms. Squeeze throttle trigger lockout and throttle to accelerate. Engage chain brake by pushing lever forward.

Fuel & Oil

Use fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane minimum) mixed with high-quality 2-stroke engine oil at 50:1 ratio.

  1. Mix fuel in approved container: Add oil to gasoline, shake thoroughly.
  2. Fill fuel tank to 80% capacity to allow for expansion.
  3. Use standard bar and chain oil in oil tank. Do not use waste oil.
  4. Check oil flow: Hold saw over light surface and run at high speed; look for oil sling.

Tip: Always use fuel stabilizer if storing for more than 30 days.

Operation

Supports felling, limbing, bucking, and pruning.

  1. Starting: Engage chain brake. Set choke, prime, pull starter until engine fires. Disengage choke, restart.
  2. Cutting: Hold saw firmly. Let chain reach full speed before contacting wood. Use lower part of bar for cutting.
  3. Kickback Prevention: Never cut with upper tip. Maintain secure grip. Keep saw at waist level or below.
  4. Stopping: Release throttle, allow engine to idle. Engage chain brake. Press stop switch to "0".
  5. Refueling: Stop engine and allow to cool. Clean area around fuel cap. Refill carefully.

WARNING! Do not operate with loose or damaged chain. Always shut off engine when transporting.

Maintenance

Daily: Check chain tension, sharpness, and lubrication. Clean air filter. Inspect for loose parts.

Weekly: Clean spark arrestor screen. Check fuel filter. Clean cooling fins.

Monthly: Replace spark plug. Clean carburetor air filter. Inspect bar for wear, flip bar regularly.

Chain Sharpening: Use round file and guide. Maintain 30° cutting angle. File all cutters evenly.

Storage

Long-term storage: Drain fuel tank and run engine until it stops. Remove spark plug, add 1 tsp oil, pull starter slowly. Clean entire saw. Store in dry, locked area.

CAUTION! Never store with fuel in tank for more than 30 days. Fuel deterioration can damage engine.
