Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assemble on a clean, flat surface.

  1. Attach the bar and chain: Place bar onto mounting studs, fit chain over sprocket and bar, adjust tension.
  2. Fill oil reservoir: Use bar and chain oil only.
  3. Mix fuel: Use fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane minimum) with 2-cycle oil at 40:1 ratio.
  4. Prime engine: Press primer bulb 5-7 times until fuel is visible.

WARNING! Always wear protective gear during assembly. Ensure chain is properly tensioned before use.

Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before operating. Failure to follow safety rules may result in serious injury.

  1. Always wear: Safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, steel-toed boots, and close-fitting clothing.
  2. Clear work area of debris and bystanders.
  3. Hold chainsaw firmly with both hands.
  4. Never operate above shoulder height or on a ladder.
  5. Be aware of kickback zone (upper quadrant of bar tip).
  6. Shut off engine when not actively cutting.

CAUTION! Keep children and pets away from work area. Never operate when tired or under the influence.

Specifications

Controls and Components

Main controls: Throttle trigger, throttle trigger lockout, stop switch, choke control, primer bulb, chain brake lever.

Components: Front handle with chain brake, rear handle with throttle, fuel tank cap, oil tank cap, spark plug, air filter cover, muffler, guide bar, cutting chain.

Operation: Pull choke for cold starts, push to run position after engine fires. Use throttle lockout with throttle trigger for safety. Engage chain brake by pushing lever forward.

Fuel & Oil Mixture

Use fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane or higher) mixed with high-quality 2-cycle engine oil at 40:1 ratio.

  1. Mix in approved container: Add 2.6 oz of oil to 1 gallon of gasoline.
  2. Shake gently before filling.
  3. Fill fuel tank to 80% capacity to allow for expansion.
  4. Use bar and chain oil in separate oil reservoir.

Tip: Never use automotive oil or old gasoline. Use fuel within 30 days of mixing.

Starting & Operation

Starting procedure (cold engine):

  1. Place on flat, clear surface.
  2. Engage chain brake by pushing lever forward.
  3. Move choke lever to FULL CHOKE position.
  4. Press primer bulb 5-7 times.
  5. Pull starter rope briskly until engine fires (1-3 pulls).
  6. Move choke to HALF CHOKE, pull until engine runs.
  7. Disengage chain brake before cutting.

Cutting Techniques: Let chain do the work; avoid forcing. Cut at full throttle. Be aware of pinch points and binding.

Chain Maintenance

Regular chain maintenance ensures optimal performance and safety.

  1. Tension: Chain should be snug against bar but pull freely by hand. Adjust with tool-less tensioner when chain is cool.
  2. Sharpening: Use round file (5/32 inch) and file guide. Maintain 30° cutting angle. File all cutters evenly.
  3. Lubrication: Check oil flow before each use. Chain should throw light oil mist during operation.
  4. Rotation: Flip bar periodically for even wear.

WARNING! Always wear gloves when handling chain. Ensure engine is off and cool before maintenance.

Cleaning & Storage

Clean after each use. Store properly to extend tool life.

  1. Wipe exterior with damp cloth; clean air filter regularly.
  2. Drain fuel tank for storage over 30 days.
  3. Run engine dry of fuel before long-term storage.
  4. Store in dry, secure location out of children's reach.
  5. Remove chain and soak in oil for long-term storage.

CAUTION! Never use water or solvents to clean engine. Keep away from open flames.
