Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before use. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

  1. Wear safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, sturdy boots, and cut-resistant leg protection.
  2. Inspect chainsaw before each use: check chain sharpness, tension, and lubrication.
  3. Ensure work area is clear of obstacles, people, and animals.
  4. Always hold chainsaw with both hands: right on rear handle, left on front handle.
  5. Never operate above shoulder height or on a ladder.

WARNING! Risk of kickback! Keep nose of bar away from objects. Always engage chain brake when not cutting.

Assembly & Preparation

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assemble before first use.

  1. Attach guide bar and chain: Place bar on mounting studs, loop chain around sprocket and bar groove, align with tensioning pin.
  2. Tension chain: Turn tensioning knob clockwise until chain fits snugly against bar (should lift slightly from bar in middle).
  3. Fill oil tank: Use only recommended bar and chain oil. Fill to MAX mark.
  4. Connect to power: Use a grounded outdoor-rated extension cord if needed (min. 1.5 mm²).

CAUTION! Ensure chain is installed with cutting teeth facing forward on top of bar. Chain brake must be disengaged (pulled back) before starting.

Technical Specifications

Controls and Components

Main controls located on rear handle and body.

Rear Handle Area: On/Off switch with safety lock, trigger for motor control, hand guard/chain brake lever.

Body: Tensioning knob (side), oil filler cap (top), bar mounting nuts, chain catcher.

Operation: Press safety lock (left side) and squeeze trigger to start. Release trigger to stop. Engage chain brake by pushing hand guard forward (manually) or it activates automatically during kickback.

Operation Guide

Starting and basic cutting techniques.

  1. Check oil level and chain tension before each use.
  2. Place chainsaw on stable ground, ensure chain is clear of objects.
  3. Press safety lock button with left thumb, then squeeze trigger with right hand to start.
  4. Allow chain to reach full speed before contacting wood.
  5. Use lower part of bar for cutting; avoid using tip to reduce kickback risk.
  6. For felling: Plan escape path, make notch cut, then felling cut. Use wedges if needed.
  7. For limbing: Work from trunk outward, support log off ground.
  8. After use: Engage chain brake, unplug from power.

Tip: Let the chain do the work; do not force it. Maintain a firm grip and stable stance.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures performance and longevity.

  1. After each use: Clean housing with dry cloth; remove sawdust from air vents and chain area.
  2. Check chain tension frequently; adjust if loose (chain should snap back when pulled from bar).
  3. Inspect bar for wear: Flip bar periodically for even wear.
  4. Clean oiler holes and guide bar groove.
  5. Replace worn sprocket (if driven sprocket type).

CAUTION! Always disconnect from power before performing any maintenance. Wear gloves when handling chain.

Chain Care & Sharpening

A sharp chain is essential for safe and efficient cutting.

Sharpening: Use a round file (4.5 mm) and file guide. Maintain original filing angle (typically 30°). File each cutter evenly until burr forms. File depth gauges (rakers) with flat file and gauge to maintain proper height difference.

Signs of dull chain: Produces fine dust instead of chips, requires pushing, cuts crooked.

Replacement: Replace chain when cutters are shortened beyond sharpening limit or damaged. Use only Oregon 91PX or equivalent chain.

Storage Guidelines

Store properly to prevent damage and corrosion.

  1. Clean chainsaw thoroughly after use.
  2. Remove chain, clean and coat with oil; store separately if long-term.
  3. Empty oil tank or fill completely to prevent moisture buildup.
  4. Store in dry, locked place out of reach of children.
  5. Hang by rear handle or place in protective case.

CAUTION! Do not store with fuel (if applicable) in enclosed spaces. Protect from extreme temperatures.
