Safety Information

Read and understand all safety instructions before use. Always wear appropriate PPE.

  1. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, chainsaw chaps, and sturdy boots.
  2. Clear Work Area: Ensure no bystanders, especially children or pets, are within 15 meters.
  3. Inspect Chainsaw: Check for loose parts, chain tension, and damage before each use.
  4. Proper Grip: Hold firmly with both hands, right hand on rear handle, left on front.
  5. Kickback Awareness: Be aware of kickback zone; do not let bar nose contact objects.

WARNING! Failure to follow safety instructions can result in serious injury or death. Never operate a chainsaw while fatigued or under the influence.

Assembly & Initial Setup

Unpack all parts. Assembly requires attaching guide bar and chain, and filling fluids.

  1. Attach Guide Bar & Chain: Place bar on mounting studs. Loop chain around bar with cutting teeth facing forward on top. Adjust tension.
  2. Fill Fuel Tank: Mix gasoline and 2-cycle oil at specified ratio (e.g., 50:1). Use fresh fuel.
  3. Fill Oil Tank: Use recommended bar and chain oil.
  4. Check Chain Tension: Chain should be snug against bar but pull freely by hand.

CAUTION! Ensure chain is installed correctly. Incorrect installation can cause immediate derailment or kickback.

Specifications

Controls and Components

Main Controls: On/Off Switch, Choke Lever, Throttle Trigger, Throttle Lockout, Chain Brake Lever (Front Hand Guard).

Components: Rear Handle with Trigger, Front Handle, Muffler, Spark Plug, Fuel Cap, Oil Cap, Chain Tensioner, Decompression Valve (if equipped).

Operation: Set switch to ON. Pull choke for cold start. Press throttle lockout while pulling trigger. Engage chain brake by pushing front hand guard forward.

Fuel & Oil Mixture

Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating (e.g., 89). Mix with high-quality 2-cycle engine oil at the specified ratio (e.g., 50:1).

  1. Use clean, approved fuel container.
  2. Add specified amount of oil to gasoline.
  3. Close container and shake thoroughly.
  4. Use fuel within 30 days. Do not use old or stale fuel.
  5. For chain oil, use proper bar and chain lubricant. Do not use waste oil.

Tip: Always mix fuel outdoors. Wipe up any spills immediately.

Starting & Operation

Starting Procedure (Cold Engine):

  1. Place chainsaw on clear, flat ground.
  2. Engage chain brake.
  3. Set On/Off switch to ON.
  4. Pull choke lever to full choke position.
  5. Press decompression valve (if equipped).
  6. Hold front handle with left hand, place right foot in rear handle.
  7. Pull starter cord briskly until engine 'pops'.
  8. Move choke to half-throttle position.
  9. Pull starter cord again until engine starts.
  10. Blip throttle to disengage choke. Release chain brake before cutting.

WARNING! Never drop-start or start the saw above waist height. Always engage chain brake when starting.

Chain Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and safety.

  1. Sharpening: Use round file and guide. Maintain correct filing angle (e.g., 30°). File all cutters evenly.
  2. Tensioning: Chain should be snug but pull freely. Re-tension when chain sags. Always check tension when cold.
  3. Depth Gauges: File depth gauges with flat file and gauge tool to maintain proper height relative to cutters.
  4. Cleaning: Remove debris from guide bar groove, oil holes, and sprocket.

CAUTION! Wear heavy gloves when handling chain. A dull chain increases kickback risk.

Storage & Care

For storage longer than 30 days, prepare the chainsaw.

  1. Drain all fuel from tank and carburetor by running engine until it stops.
  2. Remove spark plug, add a teaspoon of engine oil into cylinder, pull starter cord slowly to distribute, reinstall plug.
  3. Clean entire saw, especially cooling fins and air filter.
  4. Loosen chain tension. Store in a dry, secure place.

CAUTION! Fuel left in the carburetor will degrade and cause starting problems. Store fuel separately in an approved container.
